As many of you will have been aware from notices at the Station Road premises, Lloyds Pharmacy have been in the process of transitioning ownership of their Verwood site over recent months.

Well, we're excited to finally be able to reveal that Verwood Pharmacy have secured a deal to take over the running of the Pharmacy and will be opening for business from Tuesday, 30th May 2023. All existing Lloyds' patients and records will seamlessly transition across, so there's nothing to worry about; service continues as normal.

Negotiations have been underway for some time, and we would have liked to share this news earlier, but the contract was only finalised on Friday, 26th May, leaving little time for a grand announcement! Still, whilst it's been all systems go for the last few weeks to get to this point, we're glad to have got this over the line and helped to secure an important service in Verwood, at a time when many Pharmacies are exiting the sector (see the 'Save our Pharmacies' campaign and help to support this vital community service).

All of the staff at the Station Road store will be transitioning across to us, so you will continue to receive the usual helpful, welcoming service from faces that are familiar to you. Now we can work closely together to offer the best possible standard of care to the whole of Verwood.

Please be patient with both of our teams across our two sites as we adapt to this transition. Our lovely (and shiny new) Station Road team will have to adapt to a range of new systems and challenges at short notice. Meanwhile, our wonderful Lake Road staff will be doing all they can to assist, including providing cross-site training, as two previously separate groups combine into a united team that can offer a stronger, more consistent service to the community. There are bound to be some learning steps as we go, but we firmly believe that given time we can build a brighter future for Pharmacy and related healthcare services in Verwood.
